FAQ

Common questions

Which calculator tells me how big my gold position should be?

The position size calculator answers that. You enter your account balance, the risk you are willing to take, and your stop distance in pips, and it returns a lot size for XAU/USD. Because one standard lot is 100 oz, the output is in lots you can actually place, not just an abstract number.

How do I convert a gold price move into pesos with these tools?

Use the pip value calculator first to see what one pip (0.01) is worth at your lot size, then the profit calculator to turn a price move into an amount. Converting to pesos depends on the USD/PHP rate your broker applies at the time, so treat the peso figure as an estimate, not a locked amount.

Which tool shows the margin a gold position will tie up?

The margin calculator does. At the applicable cap, a 0.10-lot gold position needs about $85.50 margin, and the tool scales that with your lot size and the leverage cap that applies to the entity serving the Philippines. Remember the cap is a ceiling, not a setting to aim at.

Do the calculators tell me where to place a stop or take profit?

No, and they should not. The pivot points tool gives reference levels from the prior session's high, low and close, which some traders use to frame entries and exits, but it does not tell you what to do. Stop and target placement is your judgment, and the position size calculator then sizes the trade around it.

Are the calculator results guaranteed to match my broker's numbers?

No. Results depend on the inputs you type and on your broker's own contract specifications, including the leverage cap for the entity serving the Philippines and any currency conversion. Use the outputs as a planning guide, then confirm the live margin requirement inside your platform before you place the order.
