Contact the Desk
There is one editorial mailbox for this desk, and it is for editorial matters only: editor@palawanmirrorph.com.
The one mailbox we use
All editorial correspondence goes to editor@palawanmirrorph.com. It is the only address the desk uses, and it reaches the people who write and check these pages rather than a sales queue. We do not promise a response time in hours or days, only that editorial mail is read.
Please write in plain language and include the page or claim you are asking about. If your message is about a factual point, the specific sentence and where you saw it helps us check it faster.
What happens when you ask us to correct something we published
A correction request is logged with the page address, the quoted sentence, and the source you are relying on, and it is checked against the original material before anything is edited. We do not change a figure because a reader prefers a different one; we change it when the source shows our figure was wrong or when the sentence overstates what the source supports. If the correction is accepted, the page is amended and the change is dated so later readers can see it was revised rather than silently rewritten.
If we cannot verify your point, you get a reply saying so and naming what we checked. That is not a dismissal. Plenty of disagreements turn on which regulator's register was consulted, or on whether a platform list refers to the entity serving the Philippines or to a different FxPro entity, and those are answerable only by looking at the specific source. Where the disagreement is about a cost we never published as a number, we will say that our page describes what the cost consists of and does not state a figure, which is deliberate.
Corrections that touch risk or regulation are treated as the most serious kind we handle, because a wrong statement about leverage or licensing can cost a reader money. If your request concerns the leverage cap, the margin example, or the caveat that FxPro is licensed by the FCA (UK) and CySEC and not by the SEC of the Philippines, say so in the subject line. Those go to the front of the queue, and they are checked against the regulator's own publication rather than against another article.
Where our answers stop: no personal trading advice, no account instructions
We answer questions about how things work and what our published material says, and we do not answer questions about what you personally should do with your money. That means we will explain what a leverage cap is, how a margin requirement is calculated, and what a pip is worth on a 0.10-lot gold position, but we will not tell you whether to open, hold, or close a trade, or how much of your savings to risk. Trading gold on leverage can lose more than the amount you put up, and that judgement is yours, not ours.
We can confirm facts we have published, such as the regulator caveat that FxPro is licensed by the FCA (UK) and CySEC and not by the SEC of the Philippines, and we can explain what that distinction means for a Philippine resident. We cannot assess your suitability for any product, comment on your risk tolerance, or review a strategy and grade it. If your message asks for a verdict on a plan, we will answer the factual part and tell you plainly that the decision part is outside what this desk does.
We can point you to the mechanism that produces a number and cannot produce a number for your situation. Margin, for example, depends on your lot size, the instrument, and the cap that applies to the entity serving this country, which is why we can say a 0.10-lot gold position needs about $85.50 at the applicable cap but cannot tell you what your own balance should be. Anything requiring your account details, your equity, or your open positions is a question for your broker, not for a contact mailbox.
What to attach to a question about funding, a broker claim, or a price example
Send the exact ₱ amount, the rail you used, and the date and time of the transaction whenever your question is about money moving in or out. For a GCash or bank transfer that did not appear, we need the sending name, the receiving name, the amount, and the reference number your bank or GCash shows. Without the reference, the message reaches us as a general complaint and we cannot match it to anything. Screenshots are fine but crop them to the relevant lines so the amounts and timestamps are readable rather than buried in a full phone screen.
Quote the passage and the page address when your question is about something we wrote on a broker. We ask for the page URL and the sentence you are disputing, because a claim about a regulator, a platform list, or a margin figure only means something when we can see which paragraph it came from. If you are writing about the FxPro entity that serves the Philippines, say whether your question is about licensing, platforms, or the leverage cap, since those are three different answers and we route them differently.
Give the instrument, lot size, entry and exit, and the price feed you used when your question is about a worked example. For gold (XAU/USD), one standard lot is 100 oz and one pip is 0.01, so a margin or pip-value question is only checkable if you state your lot size and the reference price you had in mind, such as 4275.0. Tell us which platform you were looking at, MT4, MT5, cTrader or the FxPro app, because displayed values differ between them. Do not send account numbers or one-time passcodes.
No guest posts, no sponsored reviews, no paid placement
We do not accept guest posts, sponsored reviews or paid placement at any price. There is no rate card, no sponsored slot and no arrangement under which a broker can buy a ranking, a mention or a softened sentence. Affiliate links are the only revenue this desk has.
If you are a broker or an agency writing to propose a commercial arrangement, the answer is no, and it stays no regardless of the amount. The regulator fact we state on broker pages is fixed: FxPro is licensed by the FCA (UK) and CySEC - not by the SEC of the Philippines.
What we will and will not help with
We will help with editorial questions: how a calculation works, where a figure came from, what a broker's document says, or why a page is worded the way it is. We will explain the mechanics of gold (XAU/USD) and the meaning of margin, lot size and pip for XAU/USD.
We will not help with account problems, and we will not chase a broker on your behalf or assist with fund recovery. We give no personal advice on whether to trade, what to buy, or how to size a position for your situation. Those matters belong with the broker and, where relevant, with your own advisers.
The five details that make a message answerable
A message is answerable when it contains the page, the quote, your question in one sentence, the source you are relying on, and what outcome you want. Those five items turn a complaint into a task. The page address tells us where to look, the quote tells us which sentence is in dispute, the one-sentence question tells us what kind of answer is needed, the source tells us what to check, and the outcome tells us whether you want a correction, a clarification, or just an explanation.
Write the question before the background. Most unanswerable messages open with several paragraphs of context and never state what is being asked, which forces a reply that asks for the question. If you are writing about a number, include the number and where you saw it. If you are writing about a platform, name it, since MT4, MT5, cTrader and the FxPro app are separate products and a question about one is often not a question about another. If you are writing about gold, give the lot size and the reference price.
Leave out what we cannot use. Account numbers, one-time passcodes, screenshots of a full dashboard with your balance visible, and identity documents are not needed and should not be sent. We are a publication, not a broker, and we have no system that could act on those details. A message with a clean quote, a link, and a plain question gets a substantive reply; a message with everything attached and no stated question gets a request for the question.
Account access, missing funds, and personal advice belong with your broker or the regulator
We cannot open, unlock, or close an account, and we cannot retrieve money. Those actions sit with the firm holding your account and, where a dispute is formal, with the regulator that licenses it. For a Philippine reader using FxPro, the caveat to keep in mind is that FxPro is licensed by the FCA (UK) and CySEC and not by the SEC of the Philippines, so the complaints route runs through the entity that serves this country and its named regulator rather than through the local securities commission. We can tell you which entity and which regulator; we cannot act for you.
A missing GCash or bank transfer is a transaction investigation, and it needs the sending details, the receiving details, the amount, and the reference number in the hands of the firm that received it. Sending those details to us does nothing except put them in a mailbox that has no access to any payment system. If a transfer went to the wrong place, contact the sending bank or GCash first, because recovery depends on their process and their timelines, not on anything a publisher can do.
Personal trading advice, portfolio reviews, and verdicts on whether to hold a losing position are also outside this desk. We will explain the mechanics, including that one standard lot of gold is 100 oz, one pip is 0.01, and a 0.10-lot position needs about $85.50 margin at the applicable cap, and we will stop there. The decision, the position size, and the risk are yours. A message asking us to make that decision will get the factual part answered and the rest declined, plainly and without a lecture.
How long a reply takes, and what changes that
Expect a reply within a few business days, and treat anything faster as a bonus rather than a promise. Our working week follows Philippine time, so a message sent late on a Friday will be read the following week. A correction request with a link, a quote, and a source in the first message moves faster than one that requires a round of questions before we can even find the page you mean. We do not operate a live chat and we do not answer on a fixed clock.
Response time depends on how complete the message is, not on how long it is. A short message naming the page, the exact sentence, and the source we should check can be handled in one pass; a long message that describes a problem without a page address usually needs two or three exchanges before work starts. Questions about funding rails such as GCash or bank transfer take longer because we have to read them carefully and confirm what we can actually state, since we publish no deposit minimums and no transaction timelines.
Volume matters too. Weeks when a broker changes its platform list or a regulator publishes something new produce more mail than quiet weeks, and everything queues in the order it arrives. We do not deprioritise a message because it is critical of us, and we do not accelerate one because it is flattering. If your first message is unanswered after a week, resend it with the same subject line rather than starting a new thread, so it does not read as a duplicate and get closed.
Run the numbers, then trade gold on FxPro
FxPro offers MT4, MT5, cTrader and its own app for XAU/USD, with funding from the Philippines through GCash or bank transfer. FxPro is licensed by the FCA (UK) and CySEC, not by the SEC of the Philippines, so understand the entity and the risk before you fund.
